The first visit to Bedgebury this year saw the Bob, Me and John (first time out), braving the wet weather. Although it was a dry night, we had experienced heavy rain the preceding day, therefore the trails were fully saturated.
For the first time we witnessed mud and deep rutted puddles on the Red route and horrendous mud on the main trails between.
Although we all suffered, John came off worst, falling off on the muddiest section (and possibly a couple of time elsewhere).
I managed to fall off on the log ramp section, my excuse being that I was going too slow.
The mud really slowed progress and the ride was over 2 hours, luckily though we missed the rain, which poured down while we were all heading home. I arrived home to find a power cut.
First time this year we have managed more than 2 people on a ride, hopefully numbers will increase over the next few weeks.
